I just began thinking that this might get taken the wrong way. A Faraday cage, good idea, of course Faraday-anything is unusually brilliant. Here's a kid born into the ghetto of Victorian London who somehow finds his way to a lecture at the Royal Institution. From Faraday we have the terms electrolosys, electrolyte, anode, cathode, and more; the elements potassium and sodium; the electric motor; several other clever devices; and also those famous pedagogues, the E|M field lines which at least famously draw reverence from the great Maxwell. But on further thought, I was found to be wrong. Your monkey cage would not necessarily be close enough to shield against the smallest wifi wave. Suppose your wifi operates around 10 GHz, then the largest hole in your cage must be less than 2.99792458e-002 meters. And a big Tesla coil could help by imposing a strong background outside your cage, besides it can't hurt to have a Tesla coil to play with.
