[uug] Reminder: Fink/X11 on Mac OS X YMac meeting tomorrow

Hi Everyone,

I saw posted on ymac.byu.edu an announcement for Dr. Conan Albrecht's 
presentation on Fink/X11 on Mac OS X.  Some of you may remember Dr. 
Albrecht's presentation on Linux at the last Linux InstallFest.  Dr. 
Albrecht has been a Linux user since 1997, and currently uses Debian to 
run his servers.  However, on desktop Dr. Albrecht prefers Mac OS X with 
Fink's port of Linux tools.  Should be interesting!

   January yMac Meeting--Fink and X11

We will be having a User Group meeting on Friday January 23rd at 4:00 
pm. We will be meeting in 343 MARB (that's the Martin Building attached 
to the North side of the Widstoe building).

Dr. Conan Albrecht will give a presentation on Fink/X11. This will be a 
great event to learn how to open up a whole new world of open-source 
software for your Mac! We are also inviting the BYU UNIX User Group to 
come as well.

We will also be holding a drawing for a few of the "Classic 1984/iPod" 
posters from MacWorld. Come and have a good time. We will have 
refreshments.
