Agreed. But not *everything* is intended for public consumption. Some
material is and should be private, and not only if it's an angry rant.
I'm sure we can all think of examples. The thing is, without reply-to
munging, I can still respond publicly to the list, even if it takes and
extra step -- replace "Reply" with "Reply All" and optionally remove
extra addresses. With reply-to munging, I'm not gauranteed the option[1]
of taking a sensitive portion of the discussion into the private domain.

Exactly what I want to be able to do (not always to do, but the *option*
is the key).
