Isn't that in /lib?  Arguably, /lib/modules (I'm assuming that 
/lib/modules is where Linux keeps it's loadable kernel modules) would
be considered part of the kernel, wouldn't it?  Certainly part of the 
OS.

Let's let it rest... I think everyone else involved in the ... 
discussion?  flame fest?  argument? ... has agreed to disagree.  I'm 
willing to do the same.
