Seriously, I saw an eMac for about that price last week. It surprised me
too... I thought all their stuff was at least 100% more than what you'd
pay for a PC with similar capabilities (albeit without the pretty case).

I don't think you can find more value for your money then what you get out of the iBook. The entire PC industry is priced backwards. A notebook with a 12.1" screen is hard to find under $1500 you can get an iBook now for $900.
Sure PowerMac's are expensive, but hay you get what you pay for. You want a ferrari you're not going to get it for the price of a taurus.
