Hey all-
I'm trying to set up a web server here and I am in need of some help. I'd
like to set up Linux as my OS (don't nec have a pref on which flavor) and I have a
copy of Nitro Embedded Database for Linux that I'd like to install as well as perhaps
Apache or Resin as WebServers. I need to know how to set it up for a couple of
things, namely how to give it a static IP address, how to config the web server for
Java, Perl, and Php, what I'd need to do dev on the machine with Java, Perl, Php, and
C++, and finally how I can set it up for automated emails (does sendmail do this? If
so, how do I set it up.?). I plan on coming in to the installfest on the 15th, but
with such a massive task, perhaps it would be better to get started early. Anyone
interested?
