Is it just me, or has Google pulled a fantastic marketing move with this whole ``invite'' model? They've managed to create a scarcity model, almost like an exclusive club - you gotta get an ``invite'' to get in. You gotta ``know someone.'' That creates a sense of urgency - ``Oh, no! All the account names are getting snatched up!! What if [EMAIL PROTECTED] isn't available tomorrow?? What if some other Joe Smith gets an invite before me? Quick, gimme an invite! Please please please! Gotta have [EMAIL PROTECTED]''
But then anyone and their dog who signs up immediately gets invites.

FWIW, I wish that were true :) I've been waiting for my invites to come through for 2 whole months now. I just got them a few days ago along with everyone else. Notice that this was FWIW.
