ah - new subject: gmail doesn't have folders. what a pain.

is it just me, or does gmail seem suited to /either/ mailing lists or casual
email, but not both? the problem is that without folders, your 'normal'
email gets lost in all the mailing list traffic.

is there some obvious way to fix this (ie. am i lame?)

Stop changing your the subject lines, it's messing up these
new-fangled gmail "conversations" and I can't figure out how to read
these emails in order!!
