It's very possible I'm confusing the two since I don't know much about
agnostics and I'm to lazy to learn.  My point about people believing
what it's easiest to believe is still valid though.  In some way they
find it easier than the alternative otherwise they'd believe something
(else).  Those of us who believe in God do so because some experience
has made it easier to believe than to deny.  Those who don't, because
it's easier to deny.  And those who don't know, because it's easier to
throw up their hands and say "well, I don't know" than to find out.

Perhaps an agnostic is agnostic because he's afraid of death (at which
point he'll find out, won't he) rather than being afraid of death
because he's agnostic.
