I think a lack of installer was one of the reasons I dumped emacs . . . although lately I've really been wondering if our target audience cares about vi _or_ emacs. Anybody interested in those kinds of editors probably already knows how and where to download them.

I agree about the lack of utility for most users, but
blackbox is just as simple to install as any ofthe
other programs on the disc, just unzip and double
click the install.bat file.
What about un-installing it?
Michael
Well, that's a little harder for me to answer off the top of my head, since I've never unistalled it. :) However, the install.bat file simply (I think) registers the program to run instead of the normal windows explorer shell when you log on. There's also an unistall file that removes the service, then just delete the directory.
Also, you don't even have to install it, it can be started after you've logged in to run ontop of explorer.
It's great! You oughtta try it. I can't find my way around a windows system without blackbox. Oh yeah, and it doesn't support icons on the desktop (but there's a plugin that does). No more cluttered desktop! Just an unblocked view of your cool Lord of the Rings or Star Wars wallpapers. Yeah! Ryan
