This actually speaks so another "rule of thumb" I've developed regarding packages to accept for the sss cd: they should install and uninstall the "normal" way windows programs do. I've even learned enough about NSIS to create installers for a few of the packages.

I think a lack of installer was one of the reasons I dumped emacs . . . although lately I've really been wondering if our target audience cares about vi _or_ emacs. Anybody interested in those kinds of editors probably already knows how and where to download them.

What about un-installing it?

Well, that's a little harder for me to answer off the top of my head, since I've never unistalled it. :) However, the install.bat file simply (I think) registers the program to run instead of the normal windows explorer shell when you log on. There's also an unistall file that removes the service, then just delete the directory.

Also, you don't even have to install it, it can be
started after you've logged in to run ontop of
explorer.

It's great! You oughtta try it. I can't find my way
around a windows system without blackbox.
Oh yeah, and it doesn't support icons on the desktop
(but there's a plugin that does). No more cluttered
desktop! Just an unblocked view of your cool Lord of
the Rings or Star Wars wallpapers. Yeah!
