Whoah, there. The 12" powerbook is still being sold as of right now, and until an official announcement about discontinuance is made, I wouldn't count it out of the race. iBooks are rumored to get a quite substantial ugrade soon (MacBook Lite?), and we don't know whether the "white plastic" look will be changed or not.
