you can burn a CD of protected (purchased from iTunes) and then the DRM is gone. Any you have the happy Audio Cd back up

It's not that noticable as far as DRM goes, especially if you're a
Mac/Win/iPod house. If I want to play an iTunes song on Linux, I have
to strip the DRM first with Hymn.

I actually have more of a problem with not having a real-world backup
of it. If you lose the file, Apple is fairly reluctant to let you
re-download them. With most of my songs, I can just re-rip the CDs if
something happens...I like that.
