Do you have any specific questions for the candidates?

Basically as your president I would do the same stuff as I do now but
instead of saying "perhaps...", I'd say "baring no objections let's..." and
perhaps I'd throw out more ideas.

As I've said before, I'm interested in making sure that things are semi-well
organized and that decisions are made and when it's 6 for one, half-a-dozen
for the other I'll just flip a coin (or go on my personal bias) and say
'divine providence has voted in favor of 'the other' and thus shall we do'.

I'm not going to personally give a lot of presentations, but I'll strongly
encourage those of you with the more specific know-how to do that.

A typical meeting under my rule would probably go something like:

As every one is filing in we do some chatter about interesting things that
we've learned, cool programs that have recently come out, etc.

Once our presenter is ready we have a discussion on X topic - be it learning
python, setting up a mail server, or an installfest whatever and ask
questions along the way.

Towards the end we restate the dates of the next few meetings and who the
presenters will be and what will be discussed, possibly changing dates if
other events interfere or supersede.

Whenever attendance gets low for a few months in the row we'll have pizza
and root beer as part of the presentation in next meeting.

_Currently_, I'm slightly opposed to the 2 meetings a month idea. I think
one meeting a month is good because if we have one meeting a month I think
we'll have higher activity at each meeting and higher activity infrequently
is more productive than lower activity frequently in my mind. If we get a
good start on things and we have too many people showing up to fit into a
room, 2 meetings a month would be great. I'm not even married like some of
you and I think that just getting in home teaching for 2 or 3 people a month
is a significant contribution of my time.

(Speaking of rooms, I'm much more a fan of the rooms where we can sit in a
semi-circle or gather around a few tables rather than a lecture hall.)

During our meeting thursday there was a lot of good discussion and I'd like
to see some of those things happen. I.E. I'm a fan of the idea of putting up
a wiki with minutes and how to material from our meetings.

I'd also like to see a member directory with some info about  professions,
skill-sets, and interests.
