I believe that BYU-TV used to use a Windows Media codec.  BYU-TV is  
now using the streaming technology from Move Networks, and there is  
currently no Linux-compatible version of their player, although one is  
rumored to be in the works.  They do have OS X and Windows versions,  
so you may have some luck trying to use the Windows version with Wine.
