I tried the same link with mplayer, gmplayer, gxine, and totem...and none of them got past the commercial...gxine didn't even get there, it just froze.. That's always a winner, and the mythtv wiki has information on how to use VLC as an external player of media types. I'm sure you could hack something together for Amarok as well though.
