Okay. I've found some stuff, and it wouldn't hurt to have some links on
the web page for future reference. This is stuff that officers should
definitely know about.

1) The following document contains a list of policies that apply to the
UUG:

http://avp.byu.edu/pages/checklist.html

2) The following document outlines the basic policies and notes that,
"Student academic associations are required to establish university
agency accounts, if there is a need to collect or expend funds as part
of their operations. They are not permitted to have bank accounts at
off-campus locations." I think it's pretty clear that all UUG dealings
with money are required to go through the agency accounts.

3) The following contains information about financial duties in general
at BYU and has a section on Agency Accounts.

I'm sure you could find more, but I think it's clear enough that
incoming money needs to be handled properly and according to procedures.
But honestly, do you really think it could possibly be otherwise?? It
would be absurd if university policy said something like, "Be as loose
and free with money as you feel like."
