Don't worry too much about it--there will be more than enough stuff to
do for someone who's willing to do it.  Besides, I really believe in the
open-source philosophy.  We are allowed to make committees--We could
make one and appoint you chairperson.  It's not vice-master of the
universe, but it would give you jurisdiction over Ubuntu stuff, or
new-users, or whatever you want.
Also, Alex wanted to run for VP in the first place--if I'm not mistaken.
