What would be the purpose of the google group?  We already have a
mailing list.  Do we really want to move it to the spam-ridden world
that Google Groups is?

Can't you just use wave and gmail to integrate the normal list into how
_you_ use wave?  If not, it seems like Wave is kind of an island.

Since Wave is far removed from this list, I don't quite see how that
would work.

Just my opinion, of course... Like Stuart I keep a clear view of my lawn
at all times in case the little gutter snipes try sneaking across it.
