You should learn the basics of vi, not vim. And when you start learning vim, you should know what the vim additions are. Why? Because vim won't be installed on HPUX, AIX, Solaris, or any other commercial UNIX vendor. Even *BSD. If you want a career in UNIX/Linux system administration, that is. -- . O . O . O . . O O . . .
