+1 for Microsoft Security Essentials when running Windows. AVG/Avira/Avast are all too bloated now.
I'd also recommend the User Agent Switcher addon mentioned for Firefox. The Cisco scans seem to be taking increasing amounts of time (in excess of 3 minutes in some buildings), so I just claim I'm an iphone and I'm authenticated in 10 seconds. > > There are few better method to get a network engineer mad than to setup > a rogue DHCP server and make him find it. It used to be a regular occurrence in my apartment complex any time new move-ins wanted to 'fix' the slow internet. I suppose it probably helped them temporarily as it would stop half of the complex from getting ip addresses. Fun times. -Joseph On Wed, Apr 28, 2010 at 4:32 PM, Brian Phillips <[email protected]>wrote: > Stuart Jansen wrote: > > On Wed, 2010-04-28 at 15:11 -0600, Timothy Wood wrote: > >> Hehe.
