Elizabeth,

I'm also running ArcView 10 on a Macbook Pro and running it off of an external
SSD drive using VMWare. I am testing Parallels at the moment and to me the
graphics performance seems a bit better. One thing to keep in mind is that it
is probably best to physically separate any virtual machine from the original
OS (Mac OSX in this case). That cuts down on two OSs hitting the same hard
drive at the same time. I don't have an extra drive in my laptop so I went
external. You might have an extra one in the iMac. I don't find the speed
much of a problem yet so I'm happy with the setup.

Richard

Any strong opinions on whether Fusion or Parallels works better to run
Arc on a Mac? Also, any advice or tips out there on migrating a former PC
Arc workstation (and data) to a Mac? I am optimistic that this is fairly
straight forward. I hope.

thanks!
