Agree.  This is one of the appealing aspects.  GNOME already provides a
rich set of proven libraries.

Downside is the documentation can be thin - and assume a *lot* of
prerequisite knowledge.  It seems to have the attitude: here is the
method signature, all else is obvious... Duh!
