My opponent is opening the file (sans the .zip extension) with Vassal, but
Vassal doesn't seem to be interpreting it as a valid zip archive.

Every file I get from him, created by him putting in filename 'X' as a
logfile, comes to me as 'X.zip', even though he is not doing any zipping of
files.

Jeff George

That's *really* odd - I've never received a logfile with a '.zip'
extension (typically either no extension or '.log') and they always work
fine.

Do you know if your opponent is:

- saving the file, then explicitly opening it from Vassal?
- trying to unzip it?
- double-clicking it from a mail program?

Tim.
