Hi Don!  Thanks for the bone man!

I didn't know I could step through VisData that way, I hadn't thought 
of that.  I know that message is misleading...  I posted a kind of 
explanation later on.  I had just never experienced an error in 
VisData.  It lets me see the field information, but gives an error 
when actually trying to display data from the DB.

The program works fine, navigating records as usual.  It's VisData 
that is acting funky.  Haven't tried loading it in Access yet to see 
what happens, but the users are using the program so I shouldn't have 
any worries.  Mainly I just would like to know why this stuff is 
happening.
