That is how I clone my VMs now, but this way's inconvenient way for
me. BTW, new VDI always appears in the home directory, regardless of
original VDI location - it's not a clear-to-understand behaviour.
Obviously it's much faster to press menu item "Virtual Machine -> Save
as ..." and make copy of the desired VM. Because VM itself is not only
VDI, but additionally your-vm-name.xml file plus snapshots (if any).
And of course a record in the VirtualBox.xml file. I could write a perl
script (for example) to do all this things - clonning vdi, copying
directory with VM settings and adding record to the VirtualBox.xml.

I just wonder why this feature is not implemented yet in such a great
and brilliant software as VirtualBox.

As I can see VDI format is not changed, so it's not necessary to
make copies - I would always be able to roll-back on VirtualBox 3.2.x.

Thanks VirtualBox team for this great product. I begin use VirtulaBox
4.0.0 - so far so good!
