Hi Oleg, I understand you wish to have a GUI option. I like GUI's for some things but for copying/cloning a VDI, it's not what I'd like. Just my choice. :) The process I take is ( cobbled from [ http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=674 ]): o merge all snapshots of the VM to be copied o gracefully shutdown the VM o use the O/S tools to copy the .VDI (e.g. `cp') - when you have different disks, far faster than using VirtualBox tools. o Use `VBoxManage internalcommands sethduuid my-new.vdi' o Using the media manager make VBox aware of the new device o Using the GUI, create a new VM and associate the new device Cheers, -- Pablo Sanchez - Blueoak Database Engineering, Inc Ph: 819.459.1926 Fax: 760.860.5225 (US) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Learn how Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) One Node allows customers to consolidate database storage, standardize their database environment, and, should the need arise, upgrade to a full multi-node Oracle RAC database without downtime or disruption http://p.sf.net/sfu/oracle-sfdevnl _______________________________________________ VBox-users-community mailing list VBox-users-community@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/vbox-users-community
