While this is good news, the author didn't mention one word about Opensolaris.  
This is not minor, as this was Oracles largest open source project, now closed 
source.  So the article is not balanced but biased.

To speak a little in Oracles favor, they did say they will release the sources 
to Solaris 11 after it's released, one has to see if it becomes reality.  So 
while it's not open development but it may not be closed source.
