Thanks Frank for the quick reply. I am however not familiar with what the "absolute pointing device" is. I have just installed the latest vbox, created a new Linux vm, and proceeded to install F15 as guest inside a Fedora 10 host. All settings are the defaults, and guest additions were not installed, as I planned to redistribute this as an appliance and I was not sure about the licensing terms of the guest additions. You are right that perhaps the guest "tring to access" or polling USB ports might cause the blinking. If that´s working as designed, fine, then. I just thought that with no usb devices plugged, the usb icon on the VM would remain always off until there is a device connected doing I/O.
