Using cmd.exe and simply doing a DIR on a directory with a hundred files or

seconds just to complete the listing. Very much like watching a DOT-Matrix
printer print.
I went back and confirmed with task manager that nothing else was running, and
then timed the time it takes to DIR a directory with 176 files

It to 20.6 seconds -- something is horrible broken with the way text output
from cmd.exe is being handled. (8.5 lines per-second)

By contrast the graphical update of task manager Performance (cpu & memory
graphs) seem unaffected. Something has changed in 6.0.0 related to text output
to the cmd console when accessed via rdesktop.

I only have a couple windows VMs, Win7 and 2008r2. Host OS is Scientific Linux
6.10 on a Dell R710.

I saw some slowness after the update and changed the virtualization method to
KVM from Hyper-V (don't ask me how that got set) and that cleared it up.
