Hi I'm running a Mac host with a Win 10 Guest
I've had some problems with unresponsiveness so I decided to copy my VM and this copy is reset to a clean win10 installation, all user and program data is removed. Then I installed the only two programs I need in this machine which is an accounting program and Libre Office. And of course the VirtualBox add on. The first difference I noticed compared to the original VM was that the screen resolution can only be set to maximum 1600x1200 in the new VM. The original has a 2560x1322 maximum. Secondly I have some problems with the function of the "mouse" in the VM. I'm using an Apple Track Pad which I connect as a filter under the USB settings. I've tried to connect it as a usb mouse also. I get the best result if I use the New Filter with empty strings. The machine will hang within 5 minutes using the windows Explorer. If I avoid the Explorer and only do my accounting it will work for some time but I'll have odd behaviour from the "mouse" now and then. I would appreciate any hint or help you can provide. Thanks.
