Hi, Tonight I was able to get my W2K Guest O/S to use the bridge as per the VirtualBox documentation. My Host O/S is openSUSE 10.2.
As a first cut, I disabled my firewall on my Linux machine but that's okay as it's behind several firewalls. Also, I'm not too happy with the current implementation as I have to hard code my host's GW and DNS values in my Host O/S. I think I can run a cache-only DNS on my Host O/S to solve part of the issue. I believe I may be able to solve the hard coding of my Host O/S's GW in my Guest O/S too. I'll have to poke at it tomorrow (probably at night as I need to crunch at work). :) If you'd like to see what I have so far, I'll e-mail my start/stop scripts I've built; no error checking, nada .... it's still proof of concept mind ya.
