I think you'll want to create a Use Case which defines situations where 100
TAP's are needed.  Or perhaps another way to approach it:   how many
resources does a TAP consume compared to Pcap?  

I think a good test would be to see how many resources are required during a
500MB file transfer with each one.  In my opinion, this may be quite
illuminating and if in fact it takes substantially less resources to use
PCap, then it's worth pursing.

Given I don't need 100 TAP's, VirtualBox's networking meets my needs
_however_ I'd be interested in knowing the results of the above benchmark.
