I think you'll want to create a Use Case which defines situations where 100 TAP's are needed. Or perhaps another way to approach it: how many resources does a TAP consume compared to Pcap? I think a good test would be to see how many resources are required during a 500MB file transfer with each one. In my opinion, this may be quite illuminating and if in fact it takes substantially less resources to use PCap, then it's worth pursing. > VirtualBox has very poor networking.
