I searched the Innotek knowledge base and the mailing list archive & no related
articles so I'm trying my first post ...

Host OS is XP SP2. I created a VM (marked Linux 2.6) & 8 GB static VDI and
started installing Ubuntu 6.10 server. It writes the primary (ext3) partition
then tries to write the swap partition and fails with an I/O error in /dev/hda

I tried leaving some free space at the end (removing the partitions and creating
smaller primary and swap partitions) but that still has the errors.

One "twist" - I want this to run in the background on my "graduate student
budget" PC, so I can't allocate a lot of memory. I used 64MB, the Ubuntu server
recommended minimum.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Robert
