Yes, the syntax is correct. What do you mean it's not taking, what
kind of error do you get?

Anyway, that's academic now, since we've definitely established from
your other post that the guest's network cable is connected, and that
things are working as they should. So, make sure that the cable
connection is set to on (gui or cli, whichever you prefer), read my
other post, and test your connection in some way other than ping.
