Just to be sure: you have Guest Additions installed on your guest right?
And everything installed without any problem, right?
Yes
and
Yes
PS: if you do not install the additions,
you cannot have: /sbin/mount.vboxsf, Right?

2. I invoked /usr/bin/system-config-display and got the error:
 # system-config-display

So, given the above error, (which does not shed any light
on the source or ultimate cause of the error),
how can I set/change my display resolution in the guest?

This problem is specifig to FC10 and not related to VirtualBox, maybe
you should ask this on a Fedora list.

Well, I am not sure where the cause is. I mean it makes no sense that
FC10 which has been out for so long, would be crippled like this. I have
installed all the updates too as of 1 hour before I attempted to reconfig
the display. So, I really do not believe it is FC10. Could it be the
graphic device emulation that is not presenting sufficient info to FC10
kernel? I do not have a "native" FC10. So, when I have one, I will try
to re-config the display there and get back to you.
