Hi,
I'm relatively new to using virtual box and I have a problem with USB
ports in a guest W'98 XP..
Of course I read the manual and added myself to the group "vboxusers"
and expected to see an external harddisk - connected via USB - and an
external device (weatherstation) also connected to USB. However, no
external device is detected and the device menu gives as USB-ports the
name of the device - I have no filters installed as "unknown device..."
... being 3 numbers separated by a :(double dot?).
With lsusb I get: "Bus 003 Device 005: ID 1130:6801 Tenx Technology,
Inc.", indicating the system recognizes the device.
The system: AMD Phenom II 910 4 GB memory Ubuntu jaunty (9.04).
I can't understand why the guest OS doesn't see the USB device(s).
Can anybody help me out?
