Greetings --

My host system is Kubuntu Jaunty.

My guest system is Windows XP Pro (here called "WinXPP").

My VirtualBox  is version 2.1.4_OSE

Until a few days ago, everything was working amazingly well. I do not recall having done anything (even by accident!) to mess things up, but SOMETHING has happened. Every time I attempt to start my one and only guest system, I get the following information.

=========================

VirtualBox - Error

Failed to start the virtual machine WinXPP.

PIIX3 cannot attach drive to the Secondary Master
(VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).

Unknown error creating VM (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).

Can you pls. check whether you have the VDI file (the virtual HDD) available where it should be? (By default, its in ~/.VirtualBox/HardDisks). Also, pls. check the Hard Disks that you have attached to the VM. By check, I mean pls. verify whether you have them, the way you want them to be :)

HTH,
Amit
