I have a strange problem with my virtualbox installed under ubuntu
jaunty on a 4-core AMD Phenom II.
The device tab gives the "Install Guest Additions..." tag but when I
click on it nothing happens.
I have the file VBoxGuestAdditions.iso in the directory
/usr/share/virtualbox but for some reason it will not install.
In the guest (W XP) there is an entry in the disk list of Virtualbox
Guest Additions (D:) and as directories 32-bit and 64-bit but they
contain only readme files telling me that I have to run
VirtualBoxGuestAdditions-x86 with some added info but where I have to
run it is a mystery. Neither in Windows nor in Linux can the command be
found.
I'm sure they are not installed as the mousepointer integration is not
available.
