My qmail-smtp/run goes like this:

Paul, no error of any kind of info in logs.

I allready changed the connection on the switch, I had a VLAN where connected the eth of the mail server to the internal network hub, to the eth connected directly to the hub. Did'nt solve, so it's not a hardware problem.

I have a problem like yours but only from my internal net. Clients from
the "outer world" dont have any problem, inside hosts have timeouts.
