I perfectly understand and agree with you, but as it seems in shell scripts we 
use 0 to sign success as we use in the exit code. 
Look back at the code and you will see the same in all functions that return 0 
or 1, 0 signs success operations.. 

I'm not sure if I understood your comment correctly here... do you think the 
name of the function is wrong? or that return value '1' cannot mean a failure 
to you?
