Patch Set 3: Ayal, your comments are mostly correct, but sadly this patch is at the base of many other. The entire series is still under heavy development and I don't want to focus on fixing things that might be thrown away completely at the end. In my tests this is good enough (as my bigger concern atm is to decouple hsm and sp).
