Patch Set 2: I've looked into tox / virtualenv. I'm not familiar with it, but trying to get up to speed. If tox / virtualenv is the more pythonic way of doing it, then I think I lean towards that. From the doc: "virtualenv creates a folder which contains all the necessary executables to use the packages that a Python project would need." Sounds like exactly what we're trying to achieve. Federico, can you point us at the OpenStack code that uses it? Abandoning this patch.
