As a *Cognos Architect /administrator* on our team you will participate in the implementation of Cognos architecture / upgrade, review of Cognos infrastructure, administration of the Cognos environment, performance tuning, development of framework manager models, reports, cubes, dashboards and the design and implementation of overall bi solutions. *Responsibilities include:* *Specific duties* o Implement large Cognos distributed installation and upgrade to new Cognos versions o Extensive knowledge and experience with Cognos architecture and lifecycle of Cognos o Extensive experience with Cognos administration o Implementation experience with web servers and working knowledge of authentication providers o Experience with Cognos SDK to implement external applications communicating with Cognos o Managing Cognos user security groups and roles and migration of users o Knowledge of Cognos scheduling through events and deployment concept o Experience with managing a large Cognos environment o Develop Cognos packages using Cognos modeling tool/ framework manager and develop Cognos content, specifically reports in report studio, Cognos cubes using transformer, (dashboard experience a plus) *Required* o Implement large Cognos distributed installation and upgrade to new Cognos version experience o Extensive knowledge and experience with Cognos architecture and lifecycle of Cognos product o Extensive experience with Cognos administration o Implementation experience with web servers and working knowledge of authentication providers o Experience with Cognos SDK to implement external applications communicating with Cognos o Managing Cognos user security groups and roles and migration of users o Knowledge of Cognos scheduling through events and deployment concept o Development of framework manager models and query packages o Develop complex dashboards, reports and cubes using report studio and transformer. o o Proficient in SQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS, IIS, jQuery and other web development . o Strong background in UI technologies such as XML, XSD, XSLT, Javascript, CSS, jQuery o Strong knowledge of relational database design concepts o Strong database design skills, Experience with SQL programming in SQL Server 2008/2005 and Oracle 11g/10g o Web Services development experience using XML, XSD, SOAP and XML Web Services. Strong background in REST/JSON. o Knowledge on healthcare processing, HL7 formatting and Rhapsody development tool a plus. o Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation o Experience in carrying out the requirements, design, development, testing implementation and support phases of applications software project o Extensive experience in object oriented programming and implementing design patterns.
