It does now...when I had read the manual it listed that barcode length was a max of 6 characters....it lied, or I misinterpreted...but I'm gonna go with blaming the book on this one ;) . Once I bumped up the barcode length to 8 and set the media id rule to be 1:2:3:4:5:6 it did set the backup length to 6 characters.
