That why we call our trips to Taneycomo our Annual Trout Kicking Festival.
In the trophy area, when the water's low enough to wade there can be thirty
to forty fish in a five foot radius around you. The larger bows will bump
your feet if you stand in one place too long.

In the San Juan, fishing in your wake will get you a ticket from the G&F.

It's called the San Juan Shuffle. Not only do fish use your legs as a
current break, they feed on the bugs you kick loose.

I've been told fish will also park in your shadow, but I've never had occur
with me. But i have seen them 'parking' in the shade of logs, overhangs,
and bridges.

That's good to know, Tony! I feel better now about the time when I was
fishing the Provo River without success during the spring run off. I was
standing in heavy current, and noticed a dozen fish were stacked up right
behind me, using me as a current break. I put on an extra split shot,
flipped the fly ahead of me about 15 feet, then drifted it right past my
leg, turning a little as it went past... and caught (and released) six of
those fish before they figured out something was up!

Hm... I did the following trick,
it was just about one photo.
After applying 2 or 3 coats and it was not nice enough,
I mounted the fly in the vise for the photo, set everything in place,
applied a fresh coat and while it was wet I took the photo.
Is this fair?
