In one of George Leonard Herter's books he tied a wine(maroon) dry fly for use on the Whitewater River in SE Minnesota. I don't remember if it had white in it or not. But it could be tied parachute style with a white post. Probably would work great too. I think this sounds like a fun swap. By the way, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (just down the road from me) has maroon and white as their colors.
