Hans-

Mostly just curious at this point. The article
emphasized silk line's casting qualities such as less
wind resistance, straighter and smoother lie downs on
the water, lack of memory, excellent flotation
characteristics and so on. Just wondered how accurate
the article was.

The author did say, that even though the initial price
is rather high (at least $90) with proper care, they
last much longer than modern lines, up to 20 years or
so. If you replace a regular line at $40 or so dollars
every couple of years, it works out about the same.
How have your lines stood up to use and wear and tear?
And just generally, how do you like them?

Thanks.
