Hi , it's funny to hear you guys talk about having trouble finding a girl who likes to fish. One of my girlfriends is here ( were tying flies to go striper fishing Sat. ) & we were both laughing because we both have had relationships ruined because of fishing.
Were both married to men who don't enjoy it as much as we do. Her & I take 2 week long trips a year to different places where we'll fish 12 - 15 hours a day & tie flies by the campfire all night.
After 15 years of marriage thats the only thing that my husband gets upset with me over...is that I fish too much. Right before him, I once dated a real nice guy who was easy as hell on the eyes, but dummer than a box of hammers. The only reason we dated as long as we did was that he was logging at a big off limits reservoir where the fishing was great. We brought him lunch every day & then fished every afternoon ! My 2 fishing buddies were so upset when I finally called it quits.OK, I'm not too proud of that moment (I still feel bad when I run into him) but the rainbows in that place were unreal !
So you guys aren't alone...some of us women feel your pain !

Had one girlfriend who told me it was the choice of her or Fishing...I'm sure all of you know what choice i made then!!!! However things are looking great as I met a woman who is getting into Flyfishing & wants to go Backpacking with my humble self... We have gone fishing together afew times & next month she will be going backpacking/Flyfishing with me for a week... Things are looking up. Thanks again for a great story....
