No argument here. I usually use whatever I have on
hand that looks suitable. There are probably some
flies where a very specific (and expensive and hard to
get) hook is absolutely the only one that'll work as
far as the writer of the article or the originator of
the pattern is concerned. And maybe they're right,
but I don't really believe the fish much care.
