An onstream device that's proven to be quite effective is the Fly Trap, replacing the sheepskin patch. Haven't lost a single fly in the four seasons since I bought it. Often, flies would just drop off the old sheepskin, especially barbless hooks. Flies dry out quickly in it, thanks to good venting.
Now that I'm practiced at using the Ketchum Release, there's little need to carry a net. It took more than a few tries to get good at it, though. But now it's a necessity. (For big ones that I want to photograph, I use a Landing Hand, which is like a glove of net material.) Mark __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
